There are two ways to print documents at Lavalla:


Printing via the printing website (recommended)


  1. Open SIMON, then go to School > Printers Website
  2. Click on "Continue with Lavalla":
  3. You may be asked to sign in, so use your Lavalla email address and password

  4. Click on "Browse" and search for the file you wish to print:

  5. You will see a message in the top right corner if the file upload was successful:
  6. You can now go to the printer and collect your print (see the section below on how to do this)


Printing via email


You can also print via email. To do this:


  1. Create a new email
  2. Attach the file you wish to print to the email. Your document must be a PDF, a Powerpoint Presentation, or a Word Document. Other files will not work!
  3. Send the document to [email protected]
  4. When your document is ready to be printed, you will receive an email:

    If you haven't received this email, your document will not be at the printer! It may take up to five minutes for your document to be received by the printer, so please be patient!


Collecting your document at the printer


Once your document is at the printer, you can collect it. You'll need your Lavalla ID card to do this. You can't use someone else's card to print, it has to be your card if the document was sent from your account!


  1. Tap your ID card on the printer in the space shown:

  2. Select "Secure Print" from the options on the screen:
  3. Press "Print Jobs" in the bottom right-hand corner
  4. Your document will be printed. If your job doesn't print, please contact someone from the library or from IT for assistance. Do not just walk away from the printer, as nobody else will be able to print! 
  5. Press the "Log Out" button in the top right-hand corner when you are done so that nobody can use your card.
