If Outlook is saying that it's offline down the bottom of the screen, you may need to switch back to online mode:
To switch back to Online mode:
- Open Outlook
- Click on "Send / Receive" along the top. If you're using a Mac, click on "Tools":
- Click on "Work Offline" so that it's no longer dark grey
- If you're on a Mac, this is a toggle switch. Switch it so it's green:
- Your computer should start downloading emails again
If you're still unable to send or receive emails, then try these troubleshooting steps:
- Find your "Outbox" folder (1) and delete any emails that are in there (2). Then close Outlook and open it again
- Check that you're connected to the internet. Open up your web browser and try to go to a website such as https://dell.com to confirm that you can access the internet
